There will be a dual award for each category - one for radio stations and one for agencies.

All categories, unless otherwise stated, are open to all advertising Agencies, copywriters and National and Independent Radio Stations. Entries must have been broadcast between 1st January 2009 and 31st December 2009 and adhere to all general rules of entry for the Radio Advertising Awards.

The Radio Advertising Awards is pleased to announce the addition of a further category to the 2010 awards:

 

The "Choose Radio Award" IBI Logo

 

The brief is to write new original copy for 30 sec radio selling the benefits of radio advertising. The target audience is potential advertisers and the copy should clearly encourage clients to
actively consider the medium as an alternative to other media or as a valuable addition to a media plan.

With the support of Independent Broadcasters of Ireland (IBI) and RTE Radio the winning entry will be produced in house each year by UTV Media and will form the basis of an annual "Choose Radio Week" which will run across all stations in Ireland.
